These terms and conditions apply to all bookings made after the publication hereof and govern all reservations for dining (whether or not payment has been made) at Gastronomo, RSD 26 North coast rd Snellings Beach Kangaroo Island.
Booking and Payment
All bookings must be made online and you will be required to provide valid current credit card details to secure a booking. In addition to the terms and conditions hereof, additional terms may apply as published on the booking portal.
Cancellation Policy
Due to the logistics of setting up in a wilderness location and the constraints on our capacity to re-book seats at short notice, we will charge 100% of the full booking cost to the nominated card, if you cancel for any reason within 48hrs prior to the booking date, or a person booked to attend does not attend at the booking time.
Cancellation of a booking will incur the following fees:
- More than 48 hours prior to the event – no cancellation fee
- Within 48 hours prior to event – 100% of the total cost
If a booking party’s size reduction takes place more than 48 hours before the event, the full price for the canceled guests will be charged unless we can fill the space. We reserve the right to cancel the booking entirely if we determine that the reduced booking is not viable, or we do not have a smaller table available.
We reserve the right to cancel an event at our discretion at any time due to unforeseen circumstances outside of our control including but not limited to weather conditions, natural disasters, menu unavailability, staff shortages and ingredient shortages. If a cancellation is necessary, you will be notified a minimum of 24hrs before the event start time. You will then be provided with option(s) to transfer the booking to another suitable date. As we have not deducted any payments, no refund is required.
COVID-19
We adhere to all current SA Government hospitality COVIDsafe practice guidelines.
It is a condition of booking that all guests will immediately comply with any reasonable request by our staff in relation to COVID-19 safety practices.
Personal Safety
Patrons need to exercise due care when attending the venue environment. We have a trained first aid person on site. Please wear flat shoes.

Children
We do love kids! However, with safety at the forefront of our minds and due to the nature of the location, we advise that this event is NOT considered suitable for children (aged 13 or under).
If you do choose to bring children, it will be at the full cost of the advertised rate per child and we accept no liability for the child’s safety and wellbeing. Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
Dietary
Although the set menu considers most diets, we are unable to cater for individual dietary requests on the day or in addition to the menu supplied. We are delighted to accommodate vegan, vegetarian, or allergic dietary meals ONLY. The request must be made at the time of booking, not on the day.
Liability
To the extent permissible by law, all conditions guarantee rights remedies liabilities and other terms which may be implied by legislation or operation of law are expressly excluded.
To the extent permissible by law, we have no liability to you for any direct indirect or consequential liability loss damage cost or expense suffered by any person in connection with or in any way related to a booking, any booking platform, or our services.
General
Failure to comply with a material term or condition hereof may result in cancellation of a booking without refund.
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of South Australia.
